Strengthening Strategy

The Strengthening Team’s purpose is to facilitate the development of church leaders and their ministries that results in churches being strengthened.

The Team defines a strong church as a reproducing community of Christ-followers. Reproduction is seen as reproducing disciples, churches, leaders, ministries, etc.

While a church’s ministry is far greater than the aspects that can be counted, for the purpose of evaluating its own effectiveness, the Strengthening Team will measure: 1. Worship Attendance, 2. Baptisms, 3. Bible Group Attendance, 4. Undesignated Offerings, and 5. Number of Acts 1:8 Partnerships. These numbers by no means tell the whole story of a church’s ministry, yet they do provide an indication of its health and impact.

This section of the website seeks to assist in increasing these five reproductive indicators in member churches and ultimately the HBA as a whole.
